蒙特爱里森大学每年一度的校友返校庆祝活动即将在2015年9月25-27举行。

　　作为秋季的亮点之一，这个周末(9月26-27日)我们可以观赏到蒙特爱里森大学运动队的常规赛和表演赛，同时热身赛也会对整个社区开放。周六(9月26日)下午两点对战舍布鲁可的足球赛的中场时间会举行庆祝新赛季开始的正式仪式。

　　同时运动场也会庆祝新名字的诞生——校友运动场。这个名字说明了蒙特爱立森大学大学校友在这个设施兴建方面发挥的关键作用，他们对这个运动场项目的捐赠超过1，500，000$。

　　“蒙特爱里森大学校友及朋友对这个运动场项目的支持，以及学校各方面的支持都是值得纪念的。”学校副校长罗伯特·坎贝尔说，“我感谢他们的态度以及各种间接的礼物，这会使蒙特爱立森大学大学所有的在校生以及将来的学生受益。”

　　皮埃尔·阿瑟诺，蒙特爱立森大学大学体育系主任，很同意副校长的观点。

　　Mount Allison University’s annual Homecoming Weekend will take place September 25-27, 2015.

One of the highlights of the fall season, the weekend will see several of Mount Allison’s athletics teams play in regular and exhibition games, as well as warm-up events open to the entire community. Saturday’s 2 p.m. football game against Sherbrooke will include the official opening celebrations of the new athletics field at Mount Allison at halftime (3:30 p.m.).

　　The new facility will also celebrate a new name — Alumni Field. This name recognizes the key role Mount Allison alumni played in launching the project, and their contribution of more than $1.5 million to cover its cost.

　　“The support of Mount Allison’s alumni and friends for the field project, and the University overall, is remarkable,” says University President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Robert Campbell. “We thank them for their vision and consequential gift, which will benefit all current and future students at Mount Allison University.”

　　Pierre Arsenault, Mount Allison’s director of athletics and recreation, agrees.

　　“This kind of success and support represents a new era for athletics at Mount Allison,” he says. “We’re redefining what it means to be a Mountie and our alumni are helping us reach this goal.”

　　The field, which has been used as a sports field for over a century, was previously named after the late David M. MacAulay, alumnus, former Dean of Men, and strong supporter of student life, and in particular the football program, for the past 20 years. His contributions to the University will be honoured during Saturday’s celebrations and a plaque and signage will be installed later this year to acknowledge his role in supporting athletics and student life at the University.
